Nova Racing Team is the Formula Student team of Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).

We are a non-profit association that seeks to promote research, development, and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to design a combustion race car capable of competing and being marketed.

Our Structure

ENGINEERING & STRATEGY

Our performance is driven by the integration of specialized departments working together to design, develop, and validate every system of our Formula Student car.

Dynamics

Optimizes the car’s on-track behavior, focusing on suspension, braking, steering, and vehicle balance to maximize grip, stability, and driver confidence.

Structural and Ergonomics

Designs and manufactures the chassis and structural components, ensuring high stiffness, low weight, safety, and optimal driver positioning.

Electrical Systems

Develops the electronic architecture, including wiring, sensors, data acquisition, and control units to ensure reliability and efficient communication between systems.

Powertrain

Responsible for the drivetrain, maximizing performance, efficiency, and reliability under competitive conditions.

Aerodynamics and Cooling

Designs aerodynamic elements and cooling systems to enhance downforce, reduce drag, and maintain optimal operating temperatures.

Marketing

Manages the team’s brand, sponsorship relations, media presence, and business strategy. This department ensures financial sustainability, strengthens industry partnerships, and represents the team professionally at every event.
